- Vaccine Shortages and Delays - CDC Updates

- Medical Assistant Training
The PA IEP adapted the California Department of Health's "Immunizaiton Techniques: safe, effective, caring" program for Pennsylvania and Philadelphia. This training program is a 4-hour, hands-on session for no more than 15 participants per session. Participants watch a videotape, see slides highlighting key points, and then move through three "skill stations" practicing different aspects of drawing up and mixing vaccine, injecting vaccine safely and in a caring manner, comfort measures, documentation, and storage and handling.
